BC Daycare Subsidy & Early Childhood Education Grants

If you are all at all looking for financial help to cover daycare of early childhood education costs, here is what you need to know.

You may qualify for BC daycare subsidy or grant to help with your child's care and education fees. Please read through this to learn about the Child Care Reduction Initiative (CCFRI) and the Affordable Child Care Benefit.

1. Child Care Fee Reduction Initiative (CCFRI)

The Child Care Fee Reduction Initiative (CCFRI) is a provincially funded child care subsidy program that provides funds to eligible, licensed child care providers (like JJJC) to reduce and stabilize child care costs for families. Parents of children 30 - 36 months of age can save up to $900 per month per child in monthly fees. For parents of children 36 months to Kindergarten age can save up to $545 Per child in monthly fees.

Parents do NOT need to apply to access this BC daycare subsidy. When your child is enrolled in JUMPING JIMINYS JUNIOR CARE you automatically receive the discount Once enrollment is activated.

This government initiative is available to every familiy attending the Daycare and is not based on household income like other government subsidies.

2. The Affordable Child Care Benefit (ACCB)

Under this BC daycare subsidy, families that make up to $45,000 annually may qualify for full funding whereas those that make under $111,000 annually may qualify for partial funding. Maximum funding for 30-36months old children is $1,060 and the maximum funding for children 36months to school age is $550.

The amount you receive is based on your Childs age, familiy size and the type of care you need.
